Mount Vernon Baptist Church Pastor Samuel L. Feemster has a BA from Appalachian State University, a Masters of Divinity from The John Leland Center for Theological Studies, and a Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law. Rev. Feemster is a committed public servant and an experienced Pastor-Teacher. He witnessed Christ while serving our nation as a Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and performing wide-ranging service opportunities in a variety of congregations and associations in North Carolina, Minnesota, and Virginia. Acting upon his conviction that the mission of the church and the mission of law enforcement are inextricably intertwined, Rev. Feemster designed, developed and facilitated a course for law enforcement executives attending the FBI National Academy titled “Spirituality, Wellness, and Vitality Issues in Law Enforcement Practices”. After retiring from the FBI, Rev. Feemster developed 911SALT, a process for cultivating holistic wellness in law enforcement agencies. Rev. Feemster served as an associate pastor, youth minister and Pastor at three churches in Virginia, respectively. Samuel loves landscaping and fishing. He and his wife, Rosa (IT industry) have two adult children; Lewis (an actor in the DC/NY market) and Alex (baseball coach and trainer, Loudoun County).
